1. Agreement
By creating an account or using AI Receipts (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.
You must be 18 or older. If you use the Service for a business, you confirm you are authorised to accept these Terms on its behalf, and “you” includes that business.
2. What the Service does
AI Receipts lets you photograph or upload receipts, uses AI to read details such as supplier, date, total and GST, keeps the original as evidence, and lets you share your records with your accountant and export them.
A document is one receipt. A single photo showing several receipts counts as one document for each receipt read from it.
3. Not tax, accounting or legal advice
The Service prepares figures and records. It does not lodge anything with the ATO, does not certify that any claim or deduction is correct, and is not a registered tax or BAS agent. AI reading can be wrong. You are responsible for checking every figure, and for having a registered tax or BAS agent review your records before you rely on them.
4. Your account and workspace
- Give accurate details and keep your password secure.
- You are responsible for activity under your account.
- The workspace owner is responsible for the people they invite and what those people do in the workspace.
- Tell us promptly at info@aireceipt.com.au if you think your account has been used without permission.
5. Plans and prices
Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST.
| Plan | Documents | Monthly | Yearly |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 10 a month | Free | Free |
| Pro | 100 a month | $12.00 | $120.00 |
| Business | 1,000 a month | $49.00 | $490.00 |
Packs are prepaid documents with no subscription: Top-up (100 for $15.00), Season (500 for $59.00) and Backlog (2,000 for $199.00). Pack credit is used oldest first and expires 12 months after purchase.
- The Free plan stops accepting uploads at its monthly limit until the next month or until you buy a pack.
- Paid plans don’t stop at their limit: documents beyond the monthly allowance draw on pack credit.
- Current prices are on the pricing page. We may change prices; a change to a paid plan applies from your next billing period after we give you at least 30 days’ notice.
6. Payment, renewal and cancellation
- Payments are processed by our payment processor. You receive a tax invoice for each payment.
- Subscriptions renew automatically each month or year, depending on the billing period you chose, until cancelled.
- You can cancel at any time in your billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep your paid plan until then.
- If a subscription ends — because you cancelled or because payment could not be collected — your workspace moves to the Free plan. You keep the records already read and can still export them.
- Fees and packs are non-refundable, including for partly used periods and unused or expired pack credit, except where Australian Consumer Law requires a refund.
7. Your content
You own the receipts and information you upload. You give us permission to store, copy, process and display that content — including sending it to our AI and other service providers — as needed to provide the Service to you and the people you share with.
You confirm you have the right to upload what you upload, and that doing so doesn’t breach anyone’s privacy or other rights.
8. Sharing with your accountant
When you send a link, anyone holding it can view and download the records it covers for 90 days, or until you turn it off. They don’t need an account. You are responsible for choosing who receives a link.
9. Record keeping
We keep receipt originals for five years, and binned receipts can be restored for a short period. You remain responsible for meeting your own record-keeping obligations to the ATO and others. Export your records regularly and keep your own copies rather than relying on the Service as your only record.
10. Acceptable use
You must not:
- Upload malware, or content that is unlawful or that you have no right to share.
- Use the Service to create false or misleading records, or for fraud.
- Try to access other people’s data, probe or bypass security, or disrupt the Service.
- Scrape, copy, resell or redistribute the Service.
- Infringe anyone’s intellectual property.
11. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service running, but it may be unavailable at times for maintenance, faults or events outside our control. We may change, add or remove features. If we discontinue the Service, we will give reasonable notice so you can export your records.
12. Disclaimers
To the extent the law allows, the Service is provided “as is”. We don’t promise it will be error-free, that AI readings will be accurate or complete, or that it will suit a particular purpose.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows:
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, penalties, interest, tax shortfalls, or loss arising from figures you relied on without checking.
- Our total liability to you is limited to the lesser of A$100 and the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
- Where the Australian Consumer Law applies and our liability can be limited, it is limited to supplying the Service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.
14. Indemnity
You agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs from claims by others arising from content you upload or your breach of these Terms, except to the extent we caused them.
15. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time, and ask us to close your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms, puts the Service or others at risk, or where the law requires it. Where it is reasonable to, we will warn you first and give you a chance to export your records.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will email account holders about significant changes before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms.
17. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Before starting formal proceedings, both of us will first try to resolve a dispute by talking it through in good faith.
